I absolutely love this product. Two days after I bought it, I witnessed a Amazon driver backing into my ditch as well hitting my neighbor’s mailbox. The driver didn’t even stop and drove off. Had I not had this I would have never known what happened. So yes, it’s definitely a great product

Once you have installed and set up the device on an app on your phone or other device you will enjoy how well it works! You can choose a subscription to save your video or not. The fee is very inexpensive for a yearly subscription. The doorbell will even answer the ring and save messages! .

The doorbell was on sale as well so it was a great value. Installation was easy. Connecting it to my wifi was also easy. My only complaint is that after the 30 day free trial service from Ring, you are no longer able to view past videos. I wish it had some local storage.

No brainer gift for the inlaws!

Hardest part was finding a ladder to reach the old chime to install the bypass wire! Setup was a breeze, and now they can hear and respond throughout their house on any of their Echo's not to mention their phones.

This is for my Senior Mom to help keep her safe now that she's a widow. I like that I have access to it so I can see what's happening. Black Friday deals are helpful too

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Earlier this summer, after a couple of years of working fine, suddenly Smart Alerts (a service I pay Ring for annually) stopped detecting vehicles. Over months I tried resetting, rebooting, reconfiguring, and restarting. I tried suggestions I saw on forums from others with the same issue. Ring's AI Chat was of no help at all, an email was never responded to, and Customer Service was entirely useless. Last ditch effort I bought another exact same model doorbell hoping it was some kind of weird electronics failure, but even with a new unit & fresh install it still does not detect vehicles. Keeping in mind this system/configuration worked fine for about 2 years then suddenly stopped detecting only vehicles, and because of what I've read on different forums, I suspect Ring changed something in their Smart Alert programming which had this effect on my system (and apparently on other's too). I can't recommend Ring products or their services because of this failure, I'll not be renewing service with them going forward, and I'll be seeking an alternative video doorbell system.

We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to motion detection. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. Here are a few tips to optimize the motion settings on your security camera:
1. Adjust Motion Sensitivity: Ring devices can detect motion up to 30 feet with the Motion Sensitivity slider at the maximum level. If you turn Motion Sensitivity down, this range will be lower, decreasing false motion. If your device is missing motion, increase the Motion Sensitivity using the slider.
2. Change the position of your Ring device: Adjust the position of your camera to improve the accuracy of motion detection.
3. Turn on Smart Alerts: You can enable Smart Alerts on your doorbell or camera to improve motion accuracy in detecting people and other objects, including packages. To turn on Smart Alerts, tap the Motion Settings tile on the device’s page in the Ring app. A Ring Home Plan is required to use Smart Alerts.
4. Change the Motion Frequency: Under Advanced Settings, tap Motion Frequency. You can adjust how often battery-powered devices check for motion. If your device is missing motion events, increase the Motion Frequency to Frequently (Shortest battery life—Motion detection always stays active) in the Ring app. If too much motion is being detected, change the frequency to Regularly (Medium battery life—Motion detection takes a short break after each motion alert) or Periodically (Maximum battery life—Motion detection takes a longer break after each alert).
