Not very practical.

We do offer several wired Ring Doorbells that are compatible with existing in-home chimes. We recommend using the Ring Chime with your Ring Video Doorbell Wired. When plugged into a standard wall socket, the Ring Chime produces an audio signal whenever you receive an alert from a Ring device for motion and doorbell announcements. Simply plug it in to a power outlet, set it up in the Ring app, and you'll be able to hear alerts from your Ring devices at home.

I love that it captures any movement in my front yard. You can speak thru the Intercim and hear what's going on. After 1 year you have to pay like 30 a year for the video playback which is a little expensive when other brands are free.

You will need to buy the wireless plug-in chimes in order to get notified that someone rings your doorbell.

Rest assured, we are here to provide you with information regarding this device not ringing your home's internal chime kit.
The Jumper Cable bypasses and disables your existing doorbell chime and must be installed before you install your Ring Doorbell Wired. In order to hear an internal chime with Ring Doorbell Wired, you need either a Ring Chime or Ring Chime Pro.
