It did require some time to sync the ringer. It works well. I do think the $3 per month is a bit excessive but I am willing to give it a try.

The dogs would bark & I was repeatedly going to the front door from my upstairs office only to find there was no one there. In addition if someone is there it allows me to see who it is and communicate with them without leaving my office.

We would have needed another chime or two to match the sound of the original doorbell.

It sounds like the Ring Video Doorbell Wired was not what you expected. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired (2021 release) requires existing doorbell wiring for its power supply, but it does not sound your existing doorbell chime. To hear audio alerts in your home, pair it with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device (each sold separately).
