Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Responds much faster than our 7 year-old Eufy, and Ring no longer requires a subscription, which I didn't want or need - those are the plusses. One of the minuses is that the Eufy unit came with a little mounting wedge, to allow the doorbell camera to point a little more out towards the street (necessary for the way I had to mount it). I mounted the Ring to the wedge and it works great. The other minus is that Eufy has a range setting, which I could set to keep it from detecting my neighbor's comings and goings. I don't see a way to do that with Ring.

To optimize your motion zones and ensure that the device will detect accurately, please follow these steps:Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.
Tap your device's Settings.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Camera Motion Zones.
Tap Add Zone.
Drag the points to set your boundary and tap Save.

I made the trip from Ankeny to West Des Moines already, and the manager price matched the model with chime for the inconvience! Now that it customer service you don’t see much anymore

I was hesitant and did lots of research on which set up I wanted. I’ve been very impressed with this. The chime allows me to interchange and choose my inside chime noise.

I have since added more Ring cameras, motion detectors and a Ring alarm system. All was installed by the Geek Squad. Very happy with the added security and the great installation by the Geek Squad.

With the Alexa, she knows when someone is at her door and whether she wants to get up or not to go to the door. She also can talk to that person to let them know she is headed to the door (which take time). The wired chime is loud enough when she is in another room away from Alexa to let her know someone rang the Ring bell. The only little complaint is that I have an APP on my phone to know who comes to moms. The sound quality sometimes is not that great. Or it's a delay in talking to the person at the door.

That was OUR problem, as the unit couldn’t get a connectio….caused a lot of stress setting up, almost gave up. The instructions are good, though,, and if WiFi connection works the setup is not horrible. The same for the Chime. Once connected, I was surprised how well Ring works….camera is better than I thought for this base unit and alerts work well.

Easy install but had to buy a plug in transformer on amazon to get power to it. Office staff love it.

I have gone to this Best Buy for approximately 7 years. 9 times out of 10, the service from the associates on the floor is horrible. He is the 1st associate to be so helpful! With employees like him, I'll purchase from this location more often. Normally when I plan to spend alot, I'll go to another Best Buy where the service was better. Please hire more employees like him! He deserves an Employee award. Oh yeah, the Ring is great.

Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the device in regards to connection. Ring devices require high-speed internet and poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. Identify and troubleshoot what is causing connectivity issues for Ring devices to give you the best possible video and audio experience.
To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. Your Ring device will adjust video quality based on your internet speed, but needs at least 1 Mbps to work and 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
