Must Have for the non-hardwired Ring Camera

Save yourself some hassle and purchased this product with your battery only Ring camera. I also liked how there were two colors so you can choose the one with the least amount of contrast.

This Solar is reliable!

I have 2 ring cameras with solar panels and this is for my 3rd camera. I have yet the need to charge the other 2 camera batteries. These panels work as advertised and are easy to setup.

This makes life a lot easier to maintain the battery for our outdoor camera that monitors the community dumpster for violators

The USB-C connection attaches easily to the camera with a rubber seal around the port to keep it watertight. The cord is approximately 10 feet long which provides a decent amount of range when mounting the panel at a distance from the camera. The mount itself is fairly secure with 4 screws and it has a ball/socket type hinge which gives an excellent range of motion. The panel itself feels well constructed but I haven’t tested that theory. The mount may turn out to be a weak point as it feels to be bit flimsy, but overall that’s my only gripe so far.

Powers Ring camera as advertised

The camera batteries were depleting very fast before getting the solar panel. After a month with the solar panel, the batteries are still at 100% charge.

I did not like the fact that I would need a ladder to climb up and change the battery approximately every 6 months and with my luck, it would go out in the middle of a snowy or sub-zero cold spell in Wisconsin. I am 67 years old and a woman, enough said for ladders and changing batteries. The cost of having an additional battery charged and ready in the house versus the solar panel was about the same. So far, so good. The ring app is showing me a fully charged battery.
