I got this for gaming along with a Roccat keyboard and mouse, and it's awesome that their lighting effects can be synchronized. I really can't see the headset while I'm wearing it, but I'm sure I look cool! So I got this for gaming, to be immersed in the world of my games, and it does great for that. The sound is rich and clear, I enjoy the sounds and music of my games, I can locate footsteps and things creeping up on me from behind. The self-adjusting band is comfortable to wear all day. I'm working from home these days, and this headset is great for conferencing. The thing I like the most about it is there's a volume dial for the mic, so I can adjust how much I can hear myself talking. That's a game-changer for conference calls. The cord is plenty long, feels durable, and doesn't tangle. So this is good for play and for work.

Microphone didn’t work did troubleshooting thinking it was on our end but nope ended up returning it

I was having a hard time locating a decent USB headset for remote work days. Most headsets seem to require a 3.5 mm jack which my work laptop doesn't have. Finally my son suggested a gaming headset and we found this one. Hooked it up, it fired up and worked perfectly immediately. Sound is crystal clear and it's extremely comfortable. I didn't realize the cat was color-changing but that's just a fun bonus, Highly recommended.

This headset is impressive. The sound quality is great and the noise canceling is an awesome bonus. These headphones are comfortable to wear and the controls are easy to access. There is a volume control for sound, a mic volume control, and a mute button for the mic. The microphone piece is removable if you don't need to use that part, just set it aside and reattach later. The microphone sounds really good. I feel like I'm a pilot in a cockpit talking to the tower because I can hear how clear the sound is being picked up. The lights are an added bonus because they look cool.

Do not bother to purchase this. I bought it a few months ago and now I cannot return it. After a few months the audio was horrible. Static, people couldn't hear me. WORST HEADSETS EVER

The ROCCAT Elo 7.1 USB RGB PC Gaming Headset with Surround Sound, 50mm drivers & RGB lighting - Black are built for functionality. They are built sturdy and the earpads are thick with cushion that encompasses my ears. Outside sounds are muted, once I put on the headset. I downloaded SWARM software to enhance the settings which allowed more fine tuning to my liking. I also installed ELO USB Driver that popped up after the SWARM download. The 7.1 surround sounds produced by the drivers are theater like. I can differentiate amongst all the different sounds clearly. Audio output, microphone and headset lighting settings adjustment happens with the SWARM software. The ROCCAT Elo 7.1 USB RGB PC Gaming Headset with Surround Sound, 50mm drivers & RGB lighting - Black gives an experience of actually becoming absorbed into the game or video that I am watching. The attachable microphone delivers clear and crisp audio. I can hear all aspects of my gaming experience making this headset a good piece of tech to have.

Out of the box it didn't work. Returned and got a different brand, (Turtle) and it works fine.

Too tight. Bought it for my kids and they complained that it was too tight

These headphones were one of the best headphones ive ever owned. Amazing sound quality for the price and it really shines and how comfortable and loght weight it feels on your head and the rgb and mic is fantastic, but its big shortcomings is its wire, it kinks and curls to the point where it goes into a ball of messy wires and when u try to undo the curls it always goes back or creates more,

I guess the most important thing to remember is this is a $70 pair of headphones. The Roccat Elo 7.1 USB RGB PC Gaming Headset budget headset geared to those enamored with shiny lights over performance. While the headset is relatively comfortable, I ran into several performance issues. The overall sound does not stand out and surround sound is mediocre at best. It seemed almost like the volume was not loud enough even though I had it at a reasonable level. The microphone is clear (as far I could tell by asking the person on the other end) but could benefit with some noise cancellation. The build is almost all plastic and what you would expect in this price range. In conclusion, there is a myriad of lower tier headphones. The Roccat Elo does not really stand out from any of the pack.TO me, the Corsair and the Turtle Beach sound better in this price range. It is not that this is a terrible headset, I just think you get better for the same price from the competition. The only thing I could say is in Roccat’s favor is they could compete on a price point if this goes on sale for $50 or less.

Love the headset, having both an audio volume and mic volume controls on the headset itself is convenient. My head is small and the elastic keeps the headset snugly in place. Definitely recommend if standard headsets are too big.
