Q: How does it do against background noise? I work from home and game as well.
A: The Elo 7.1 USB does not feature active noise cancelling. However, its microphone has a noise cancelling feature that can be activated through Swarm.
A: The metal does extend in to the headset's frame above where the ear cups rotate. The swivel for that is plastic reinforced with screws.

A: It does not matter if your laptop is a gaming laptop or a business laptop. This headset can be used on PCs or Laptops that are equipped with Windows and at least one USB port.

A: If your are looking to get headphones for your xbox get the elo x stero, it can plug into your headphone jack in your controller, but no these headphones cannot connect to your controller it is recommended you use them for desktop and laptop only due to using usb

A: This headset has not been tested for Nintendo Switch compatibility, as it is designed for PC use.

A: ROCCAT would not have a headset designed specifically for console use. You may be interested in Turtle Beach's Stealth 700 GEN 2. There's two variation (one for Xbox and one for PlayStation). Those headsets would be wireless to the consoles (either pairing to the console directly or a USB transmitter) and also offer Bluetooth compatibility for use with smartphones/tablets.
