I've only had it for a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to how long it will last, especially since I'm using it on my back porch for an outdoor TV connection.

However, I can say that the picture quality is amazingly better with these HDMI cables versus my old coaxial cable. I don't notice it as much while watching regular TV, but my old DVD's have much better definition. While watching some videos, I can really notice a depth effect now. Therefore, these cables and my whole HD setup seem to be worth the money so far.

I purchased new electronic device(s) and chose to also purchase new HDMI cables. [I didn't want to use an 8 year old HDMI cable on my new device].
