One of the potential causes was a hdmi cable that wasn’t current or wasn’t working properly. Although I had a good picture I decided to try the cable. It fixed the problem.

If you have 4k tv using earc you need a new cable and this one fits the bill. My surround was missing sound from center channel since i got new TV. This cable fixed issue

There are a lot of cables out there with different claims, but having the certification means I should be getting what I’m paying for. The cable is sturdy and feels well-made and of high quality. No problems at all with picture or sound quality. Only issue is with the price. Quite expensive for a cable.
