Playing on a middle of the road Samsung q70(2020) with the standard issue cable was an upgrade, considering I was previously playing a PS4 with a monster cable so there was definitely an improvement. But when I upgraded to this cable every popped! I don’t really know all of the technical jargon but you definitely see the difference of your screen operating at its full potential!! It was on the high side as far as price goes but it was well worth it.

I use this cable to further connect the above HDMI to a 1-in:2-out HDMI connector. I learned the hard way that a "regular" HDMI cable would not drive two duplicated 4K monitors. This might be overkill at 8k but works great.

This HDMI cable was purchased at the recommendation of the Best Buy salesperson because of its speed rating and compliance with the current HDMI certification. It wasn't the least expensive alternative but was far less expensive than some other options. It appears to work well. I have to admit that I didn't perform an objective comparison with any other HDMI cables.

Your old cables may not be up to the task, as I found out with a new 4K set and Roku. I kept getting a message of an HDCP problem. With this Rocketfish cable, problem solved. Available in lengths to suit almost any need. It's not magic, just good technology. And, of course, these are supposed to be ready for the next wave of picture improvement to 8K.
