The ARC channel would drop in and out. This cable is well made but the cable is made of plastic. I wouldn't waste money on more expensive cables as this cable works well.

A word of caution about the length. I debated about the 2 or 4 foot cords. I knew the distance would not be great and I didn't want a lot of extra cord behind my monitor, but consider this carefully! While the 2 foot length has served me well, there is little flexibility back there, and if I change my arrangement, I may need another cord. It works for me, but it won't work well everywhere. Be careful!
