    I was looking to simplify the stereo hook up for my brother. He could never remember what when where when it came to using his receiver. Luckily his television had the optical out so I ran it into one input on the receiver. He could leave the receiver on one setting and whatever was showing on his television, no matter the input, would play through his system.
