Normally I don't buy new hdmi cords bc I think they are just pushing the sale but my salesperson explained that using a 4K hdmi will allow my t to do what it's supposed to do it in the best possible way. So I did. And it does. He pointed out that using the old one would still be ok but I wouldn't get full product potential.

I found out that this dilemma can occur because of a faulty or inexpensive HDMI cable. When I replaced this item with a Rocketfish 4D Ultra HD cable. I have not had this loss of power. What a pleasure. I definitely recommend this product.. .

That advice helped me decide on the Rocketfish brand, which is in the middle of the pack price-wise, and I'm totally satisfied with my purchase. I'll never know if paying more would have made a noticeable difference!
