For me, it replaced a "lower quality" 4K HDMI cable, and frankly I can't see a huge difference. Maybe a small one. If you are upgrading from a regular HDMI to a 4K, this is a good one, especially on sale. If you already have a stock cable, I'm not sure the full price is worth the upgrade over cheaper options.
