Make sure that you obtain a cable that is longer then you think you need and take into account if you have the TV mounted on a full motion bracket on the wall, and the distance from the exit point of the cable on the wall to where you are connecting to. I would recommended that you allow at at least 6 feet or more for the length of the cable to allow the bends that you might have when placing the cable in the but this would depend on the location and distance to the device that you are connecting too.

I haven't compared them directly, but, in terms of picture and sound quality, don't think these are significantly better than what you get from Monoprice. However, I do think these are better in terms of quality and I expect them to last longer.
