The Salesperson helped me discover what I needed and provided the knowledge I needed so that these plugs could help me get my CD player connected! OK but hard to get them to work.

You do not need to strip the wire and it should be trimmed flat to the end of the wire. But you need to get the contact inside of the wire to impale into the wire just right or you do not get the correct attachment. I had to redo one wire set multiple times. I went with the kind you have to screw in the small screws in the plug and I most often got these right the first time. I had to buy a small tool set as the screws are very tiny.

I got it from best buy and the quality is just amazing. Still after 8 months works just great without any issues

The newer design with the spike in the middle is much easier than fanning the wires over the screw top.

I've seen some complaints about re-use but I don't see that as an issue - but good to be aware. The unique aspect that makes these nice is the plastic piece that slips on the cord and uses the screw-on back to compress / pressure the wire to securely keep it in place.

Swapping out my old receiver and hooking the speakers up to my new receiver is not the tedious one hour process it used to be because I use banana plugs and I have for 10 years now, highly recommend it

The directions for use are nice touch if you are not familiar with using banana plugs for your speaker hook-ups. They also a great fit on my Kef bookshelf speakers.

Aside from that, they've been working great.
