I had to wrap electrical tape around the wire sheathing to allow the compression collars to put enough pressure on the sheathing to hold the wire firmly in place. For what you pay for these that's ridiculous. There are numerous types of banana plugs available on Amazon for much less. I purchased some Sewell plugs for much less and they work great. I purchased the Rocketfish plugs because the were the only plugs available locally. I would not purchase these again. And why do they come in packs of 4?

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to cut one inch long strips of electrical tape to wrap at the end of the ‘too thin’ speaker wire, used the black fasteners and it works perfect! The housing covers the tape so you can’t even tell it’s there. I tugged and tugged and never lost contact. Hope Rocketfish makes it up to us by offering smaller fasteners. My 4-star rating is only to make up for the temporary frustration.

It took 15 minutes to find instructions on line because the package did not come with any. When I tried connecting the wire to the plug it would come loose with a slight tug. Will return to store as soon as I can.
