I wrapped scotch tape around the wire several times thick enough to fit snugly into the hole while making sure the center pin aligns to the copper wires inside the insulation. I achieved good electrical contacts and the wires won't detach easily from the assembly once the red or black cover is put on and hand tighten. I'm sure the electrical contacts are good with the excellent sounds coming out from the speakers. I don't get bothered anymore with wires when I need to vacuum clean the floor around the speakers. I simply pull out the banana plugs from the binding posts and push the speaker aside, then put back together after cleaning. Switching different speakers to test with the set up is a breeze.

I had no problem installing and it sure is much easier to pull wires from the back of the receiver! It really cleans up the installation and makes for ease of use.

I recently decided to buil;d a 2.1 setup for my pc using polk es15 and bic f12 sub. These get the job done without having to worry about stripping the wire and inserting them into a convential banana plug.

If this is your first time terminating banana plugs there is a learning curve, I feel like once you understand the concept ( the needle is meant to puncture the inside of the casing creating optimal contact with the copper wiring). a lot of banana plugs seem to go about that termination differently. I was actually going to return these because I had bought another brand of banana plug, however is 16 gauge wire had a much thicker casing then 14 gauge wire I was using previously. These are working perfectly. I say perfect because it plays what I need to hear I'm not really hearing any distortion from the naked ear
