Instead of an HDMI cable, the bestbuy guys recommended this cable and it worked perfectly with our soundbar.

There is not a lot to write about on an optical cable. I recently purchased a TV that only had optical outputs for the sound. I didn't realize this until I got home with the TV. Luckily a quick trip back to Best Buy and I found this on the open box rack. Plugged right in and worked great. I would suggest reading at the outputs on your tv before leaving the store, or just pick this up as you will need it at some point.

Well, helped to do the trick. Was setting up a new Bose Cinemate sound bar but have an old cable box so didn't have HDMI cable. Using the optical audio cable and an old coaxial cable my sound bar now works. Tiny thing but I had never used an optical audio cable before it took me a few minutes to realize the tiny plastic tips need to be removed first :)

This sound bar gives big sound for any room, could not believe the quality of the vocals and the wireless sub does a great job filling the room with bass.

Not much to say about this except it works great and I loved how easy it made the install on my soundbar.

Had a 3' cable but needed more so I purchased this 4' Digital Optical Audio Cable and it works great.

It works really well in conjunction with the HDMI connections in our new Onkyo receiver.
