There were no other options at the store. I had never used a cable like this and the instructions were poor to non-existent, along with any warnings about dust or touching the end with a finger, which might put oil on the end (presumably why they had caps).

The sound is clearer and the surround sound seperates sounds between the speakers a lot better over the RCA configuration.
