    I bought one of these for switching from various PCs with 4k for video work. The 4K KVM prices are very high, so I bought this and a USB 3.0 switch box. I ended up buying 3 more for various configs. It does not convert 4K to 2K, HD or 1 K. Its whatever is put in and sends it out. So 4K to 4K, 2K to 2K, etc.

    This product is pretty cool. Does what it claims to do. Only reason I give it 2 stars is because 1 if the HDMI ports is on the FRONT. the remote is IR so you have to have line of sight. So either you block the IR port or your setup looks janky because you have a cord coming out of the front of the switch. Move it to the back and it gets 5 stars. Major inconvenience.

    Does what I need it to do. However the remote that came with it is nonresponsive at times. Doesn't matter as I use my Logitech harmony remote to control everything I have that needs a remote and it is completely responsive to the harmony remote
