A: I recently installed this Rocketfish 4K HDMI switch and tried to watch a 4K Blu-ray disc. While the intro and the menu were able to play, as soon as the 4K content of the movie started, the screen went black. I am using a 4K cable from the 4k Samsung Blu-ray player to the Rocketfish switch and a 4K cable from the switch to the 4K Samsung TV. When I bypass the switch with a HDMI keystone wall plate connector the picture plays fine. Therefore the Rocketfish 4K switcher WILL NOT pass a 4k signal. I have been a custom theater builder and audio/video installer for going on 20 years.
