Lot of "Emperor's New Clothes" claims about signal quality by people who don't even notice when their coffee mugs are cruddy.. Anything over 5 bucks these days for a cable is necessary but overkill

The Portal was just the thing to keep her in contact with family members out of town. You can adjust the volume , it's hands free and easy to navigate through.

Good for installing in longer runs, or places where they don't need to bend much. These might not be the best choice to run between units in a tight fitting A/V component cabinet.
