My experience with cables has been that sometimes the data flow is interrupted. (The cable stops working) You replace the cable and move on. So far no problems for about 2 months.

I purchased two of them in order to configure our setup with two HDMI tvs. The ONLY issue was the power supply originally supplied with them. They were not strong enough. Make sure you purchase a stronger power supply
