    We needed these to hook up the 4K to TV, DVD, etc. This is necessary to view anything in 4K. The regular cables will not allow you to see the 4K, so if you have that in your electronics, I would suggest you upgrade your cables. Most of the time the salesmen don't tell you that you need to get special cables to be able to view this kind of upgrade in viewing. It does help!
