    There are cheaper and there are more expensive HDMI cables. I went for middle of the road, and saved my receipt in case my cable was a dog. After connecting things up, I saw that the connection was good so no need to return. This cable is a necessity but you can get sucked into believing that there are significant differences at the high end. That said, I've used very inexpensive HDMI cables (those under $10) and found them to be horrible. Get a decent name brand but don't go overboard. Make certain your HDMI cable is right for your application and make certain you know what length you need.
