    Rocketfish products are great! This HDMI cable works like any other. Not really sure where you would need an 8' HDMI cable "in-wall" but I just use it for a game console so that doesn't matter. Seems to be bi-directional. I thought they started making HDMI cables uni-directional (meaning one end is intended to go "from" a device and the other end is "to" the TV). Anyway, this cable is a fine choice for the price and it came with a multi outlet surge protector strip!

    I learned over the years that it's always better to get higher quality cords. So if you decide to upgrade your system then you don't need to purchase more cords
