I've threaded mine though wallboard, into my basement, and then out through the wallboard again to connect my TV (in one built-in cabinet) to another component (in another built-in cabinet). About a 1-inch diameter hole is needed to pass the connector through the wall.

Good product to connect to the TV for DVD Player

I got this one at Best Buy yesterday and I had to check on my TV to make sure this was the right fit. As long as you do not move your Blu-Ray player or DVD player from your TV or computer, then you will be fine. This one has yet to give me problems.
