My new tower didn't have the older monitor port. Luckily the monitor had an HDMI port and this works perfectly. Only regret was that after maneuvering the cord through my executive desk, the 4 foot length barely made it. I should have exchanged it for a 6 foot but didn't want the hassle of an exchange or cost.

Wanted to use if for my Xbox one connection but it wasn't long enough to go from my stand up to my TV so I used it in my bedroom to connect a mini-box instead. High quality cable at a great price- just remember to measure first!

Thought I'd try a new cable as a last resort and to my surprise it actually did make a difference. This new cable worked immediately and both video and ARC audio have been fine ever since. While I'm not sure there's much benefit to $50+ HDMI cables, spending $30 on a decent quality RocketFish cable made a difference for my setup.
