What could go wrong? I returned it due to making my tv go like 10 shades darker every time. My regular hdmi cable does not have this problem at all!! I wouldn't necessarily say it's a gimmick, just maybe not the right cable. I did see that it added a little bit of polish to the basketball game I was watching but very dim. I would maybe buy like 3 different 4k hdmi cables and see which one is best next time. I don't recommend this for Toshiba 4k tv, might work for another brand tv, so not just gonna bash this brand.
