I had no idea that 4' is just a very limited non-standard distance unless you have a very small setup with everything right next to each other - and even then it's tight. Avoid, buy something with extra length for more slack as well.

Tv consistently takes too long to change from hd to regular channels. No one seems to know why but cable co. Thinks it's hd connection. So I feel the HDMI cable is bad but best buy wont replace it.

I also replaced an older cable from my Roku to the TV with an 18" Rocketfish cable and it made a real improvement. Maybe this new 4 ft. cable is defective.

Double check what works before you follow the advice of the sales rep. I'm sure this was an honest mistake, but lesson learned...
