Not sure if it was necessary or not, but I bought a new one when I got my Xbox One X, just because I knew the contacts would be fresh and clean. No issues, plugged in snuggly and works just fine.

My monitor is only 1920x1080 and this cable provides great picture/performance. If I do decide one day to get a 4k monitor I already have the cable.

Cable connectors are of good quality and had no issues with connections. Picture and sound quality are excellent. Seems to perform just as well as more expensive name brand cable. Great cable for the money.

HDMI cables get ridiculously priced very quickly. i love the Rocketfish 4k versions. no difference in picture or sound from higher branded cables. tested this against AudioQuest and no difference.

All I can say is that I purchased a 4k blu ray player and the manual says to use a fast speed HDMI cable and this is the one Best Buy recommended. The quality of the picture on the blu ray looks great.

The picture wasn’t as clear as I thought it should be, so I upgraded to this cable and WOW the picture was crystal clear. I will never buy cheap cables again

I have no scientific way to measure if this indeed a works better than a $5 HDMI cord. However with a OLED 4kTV, a few extra dollars is worth it.
