    This is a HDMI cable. One end plugs intot he TV, the other end plugs into a Tivo. End of story. They work like cable should work.

    Great cable, works as advertised. The only problem is the plastic fitting tends to interfere with other hdmi ports. Somewhat of a design flaw in my opinion.

    The HDMI cable should not make a difference. You should be able to change the audio settings on the TV so that the TV speakers are off, and that the sound bar becomes the primary source of sound. If you have XFINITY (not sure if this works for other cable providers), you are also able to program the XFINITY remote so that it can turn on / off both the sound bar and the TV at the same time.     I'm using this for my Sony 4k HDR TV and Apple TV 4K. So far working as expected. I can now switch the Apple TV video output to HDR or Dolby Vision. Cable quality is good.
