I'm a shoestring budget kind of guy and just needed something that was going to adequately do the job. We only have a few 4K channels so not going to go out and spend globs money. Watched an NBA game in 4K last nice and the picture was stunningly superb. I am learning that a digital signal is a digital signal and as long you have no interruption in sending the signal from Point A to Point B, you should fine. Check out an article called "HDMI Cable Speed & Features Explained" at AudioHolics.com. Great price for this cable, probably could have gone with a lower-priced one and had the same result. The "experts" will try to convince you otherwise.

A discussion with the seller's tech support disclosed that this was not a defective unit but, rather, a known issue caused by one, or more, issues. I made the settings changes suggested and promptly had a disconnect. The last suggestion was to replace the HDMI cable that came with the TiVo with a Gen 2, cable. I bought this cable, installed it, and have had no further problems since -- almost a month ago.
