You can definitely tell the difference of quality picture between 4K HDMI and regular HDMI. Unfortunately I had to return the item only because I was not able to remove my old HDMI cable throuth the wall.

But when we plugged our devices using our existing hdmi cable, we got disappointed. My son advised us to get a good hdmi for better picture quality. I usually order lots of stuff online, but we dont want to wait for 2 days so we decided to go to Best Buy and we're glad we did. The store associate helped us and didn't even forced us to buy anything. He is very knowledgeable and since best buy has a good return policy, we decided to get an hdmi cable just to give it a try. Well, we were surprised to see the difference of the picture. A little pricey but worth it. Great buy

A discussion with the seller's tech support disclosed that this was not a defective unit but, rather, a known issue caused by one, or more, issues. I made the settings changes suggested and promptly had a disconnect. The last suggestion was to replace the HDMI cable that came with the TiVo with a Gen 2, cable. I bought this cable, installed it, and have had no further problems since -- almost a month ago.

When I got my 4K TV I took a chance on the rocket fish brand and I am not disappointed at all.
