The surround is connected through the arc input. It was just long enough to reach that special place I needed it, same as my wife says about me. I have heard the sound since but not for a while so it may have fixed my problem. My wife says she stills hears an annoying sound occasionally but we also have four kids!

Cord seems sturdy and seems like it will hold up well. It's a bit shorter than I thought it would be but is more than adequate for hooking up a DVR or Roku player that is near your TV anyway.

Bought this cable and worked perfectly as the quality of the cable was what was missing. Is available in multiple lengths depending on needs.
