I upgraded my TV and found the digital coaxial connection to my sound bar was not supported. It has been 15 years since I purchased the previous optical cable (Monster Brand). I was going to get this part as a temporary part to replace later but it has performed well enough that I will not spend the extra money for a name brand cable.
