Sound from TV to receiver excellent

My only complaint is that I spent probably 30 minutes trying to figure out why the cable wouldn't fit in my TV or in my receiver. I began to search to see if there were different size optical cables, and found a review (like this) stating to be sure you remove the plastic protective cover from the tip of the cable!!! Everything fit great once I removed it. Unfortunately, it looks to the naked eye like it's a part of the actual cable, and I almost ruined the cable trying to jam it into the ports in the TV and the receiver. Lesson learned...
