No noticeable drop in quality and no problems staying in the plugs. It came with protective caps for the ends of the cable while it is stored. I have no complaints about this product and have no issues or problems with it since its purchase.

Great Optical Cable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel like optical is on it’s way out due to HDMI arc, but I still need optical for surround on some of my devices. If that sounds like you too, this is a great cable for the price. Personally, I would prefer arc, but for when I need optical, this cable has been more than sufficient to deliver beautiful sound quality.

Cable fit the need

But with Netflix as part of the TV software, it defaults to the TV speakers making it a pain to have to change speaker choice everytime we selected Netflix. So used the optical audio cable to backfeed the sound. Works great.
