Works nicely - fits a need to use existing speakers without replacing batteries!

When I moved into my new home, the pervious owner put in a complete home speaker system using a receiver and a source that connects to that amplifier. I didn't want to have to go back and forth into the shelf where it was located to change the music, rather be able to use a tablet or my phone away from the system to control what is playing. Enter this product.... It plus directly into one of the optical outlets in your receiver as well as into the wall giving it power. Once turned on, the option was available within my Bluetooth choices on my iPad. I connected to it and have had no connectivity issues at all.....as long as you stay about 15-20 ft away from it. That's the only down side. I have a deck outside that is only about 25 ft from where this is installed and it's connection is lacking at best. Although it does a great job with doing what it says it will do in playing music, it is still not able to go the 30 ft that it suggested. It's a minor problem since the main purpose for getting this was covered and I can still use the Bluetooth enabled device to play music.

Works great to hook to a stand alone bluetooth speaker. Exactly what I was looking for.

Works well with Sony receiver. Able to use pandora and iTunes. Good product for the money.

There seem to be two vastly different price ranges for Bluetooth receivers. The “expensive” receivers found in magnolia seem too much, but are probably better with range and reliability. If you don’t want to go that route, the cheaper Rocketfish receiver does work, but with some compromises. Mainly, the range is low and it occasionally cuts out or drops the signal. This isn’t a deal breaker, but something worth noting. I can’t speak to the quality comparison because I haven’t tried the more costly receivers.

What a fantastic device! Love that this was able to update my old garage stereo receiver.

I needed a way to "update" my Sony receiver to enable me to be able to stream my bluetooth devices to my surround sound speakers. This little device did just that and it was super easy to set up! I purchased an optical digital cable (not included) to get the upgraded more "crisp" sound and simply connected one end to the bluetooth and the other to the receiver and was good to go! That easy! Now I can stream music from my phone/ipad to my surround sound speakers as well as movies! So easy!

This is one of the most convenient thing that makes listening to music so Good!

Easy to setup and the range was right at 35' in all directions which is great for a stick frame house with lots of walls.

Hardest part about using this device is opening the package. By far the simplest Bluetooth connector on the market.
