Stream your favorite songs with this Rocketfish RF-BTR315 receiver, which features wireless connectivity to Bluetooth-enabled devices. NFC technology simplifies pairing while the AptX audio decoding enhances the Bluetooth stereo audio performance.
Q: Can this device be left on all the time or do you have to turn it on and off each time you use it?
A: Like any other component you can leave the Rocketfish Bluetooth in its "on" or powered position. I do not for two reasons. First to conserve power and second so the device does not continue to search for a source. With many components constant heat can be a killer, so as a third reason turning off your Rocketfish will provide longevity! :-)
Q: can I control volume through my phone with this
A: In my experience, the volume controls are separate, as you might expect. The volume of the signal sent to the receiver is controlled by the media player on my tablet or phone, and the volume of the receiver is controlled with its own remote control. Most Android devices also contain an IR blaster, so you could control the receiver from Android as well, but that's still two separate volume controls.
Q: I have an older Sony amplifier so my question is How does it connect to the receiver?
A: The unit has a standard 3.5mm analog output jack. Use a 3.5mm to Stereo RCA cable to connect to a receiver. The unit also has a toslink optical output if your Sony receiver has an optical input.
Q: What is the approximate range? Can it transmit through doors etc..
A: through the walls in my home I can reach 30 ft for distance
Q: I have a 20+year old receiver with out blue tooth..how would I connect it
A: As long as you receiver as an AUX, Phono, or other input jack that you are not using, just plug the output of the Rocketfish Bluetooth receiver into that and you'll be ready to go.
A: I don't think this will work for you. The adapter only receives a bluetooth signal, it does not send out a signal. This adaptor is for streaming sound from a bluetooth enabled device (such as a smartphone, tablet or computer) to a wired output source like a receiver or speakers. You may want to search BestBuy.com for a bluetooth transmitter instead of a bluetooth receiver. Search "ClearSounds Stereo TV Bluetooth Transmitter" for a product that may interest you.
Q: How do u plug up your bluetooth receiver in the back of your stereo receiver
A: Connect the R/L RCA jacks from the device to the "AUX IN" or other Audio input on your stereo/audio system.
Q: Can I play music from my iPhone to two blue tooth speakers at the same time
A: No, you can not play music from your iPhone to two bluetooth speakers at the same time.
