not that great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had hoped for better. For it to work it needs to be right next to what it is connecting with and to use it I need to restart at times before it will recconnect. It works and gets the job done but I was hoping for something with longer connection range.

Great addition
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm fond of my older Yamaha receiver but wanted the Bluetooth capability. The Rocketfish fits the bill perfectly. Easy to hook up and sync with all of my equipment (Ipod, phone, tablets, etc.). Nice compact unit.

Poor sound quality using RCA jacks.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit pairs easily with I Phone 6. Range within the family room works flawlessly. The issue is with the sound quality. It's terrible. Am using coupled to RCA input on an older 80's Sony 100 watt 5.1 surround receiver. My best guess is that the sound quality may be vastly improved if plugged into a single pin jack input on a newer receiver. In short is your planning on using the RCA plugs supplied with this unit with a receiver or amp that does not have the single pin input plug, don,t purchase this type of blue tooth device. You will be wasting your money if it's purpose is to play music. However if you just want to listen to audio books from your phone or tablet it's ok. Just terrible for music. Sound quality for music is worse than AM Radio.

Does not work with HTC 10
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works fine except it does not pair with my HTC 10. I called rocketfish for help and the person was simply reading me the manual and had no clue about how the item worked or how to resolve my issue.

Simple to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The receiver was easy to set up. The downside is only one device can be connected at a time which is understandable. However, it seems as though you have to specifically disconnect one device before another can be connected. The range is a little limited.

Bluetooth music receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm sorry to say, this did not work for me with an optical cable hookup. I called Rocketfish and he worked with me for 1/2 hour. He finally said to return it. This was on a Yamaha rx995 non Bluetooth amp. Too bad, it looked like a good product.

Can't review much because it doesn't work
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has gotten great reviews so maybe I just got a bad one. Bought online, and it looked like it was a return from someone else (box looked like it was opened a few times already). Hooked it up per the instructions but the LED light never came on to pair. Tried more than one outlet, no light. The NFC pairing on my phone said it found it but still couldn't pair with it not could any other device I tried. Will be returning it to Best Buy and probably give it another shot with a new one in the event it's just a bum device, but until then it's hard to give it a thumbs up.

Get a Chromecast instead!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this unit before I knew about Chromecast and other devices that let me stream audio from my phone through my old stereo. Do yourself a favor and get a more updated product.

Does what it supposed to.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have it hooked up to receive from my phone and since I'm continually in and out of the room could have lots of chances to not connect..but it always does......immediately. Great product..now just need one for the car.

easy set-up and works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The set-up was as easy as plugging it in and syncing to my device. It works great, but the only downside is the range is only about 15-20 feet which is probably typical for these devices. I've managed to work with that and I love it!

Sounds terrible
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works for connecting bluetooth devices to an older receiver. I've had no issues with the connection. Signal has yet to drop out or anything. But the audio quality (both digital and analog) is pretty bad. Digital is slightly better sounding, but still not great. I've played multiple high resolution files through it and was disappointed in its performance. I only picked this up because it was on clearance and really cheap, so I'm not super upset about it. But I would have been pretty upset if I paid full price.

Inconsistent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have tried with 3 different stereos ... 2 Bose, 1 Samsung. Connection is never automatic, is inconsistent, and not worth the effort.
