Buy Banana plugs that have holes for wires to fit through these are useless and a poor design

These banana plugs are amazing. They are very easy to use and have two different size adapters for different gauge speaker wire which really comes in handy. They feel sturdy and we'll constructed and plug in effortlessly to the receiver but aren't loose at all, ensuring they won't come unplugged on accident if you're moving the receiver or your speakers around.

These things are extremely easy to install on your speaker wire. It’s not even necessary to strip the insulation. Simply cut the speaker wire and push it over the sharp stud inside the connector. The instructions that are included are concise and easy to understand so I won’t go into detail about the entire install process. The plugs are also very well made and have a substantial feel to them.
My only negative is they are a little pricey but the old “you get what you pay for” adage definitely applies here. This is quality stuff.

I like the banana plugs a lot more than twisting and messing with the ends on the speakers that were compatible for this type of plug. Rocketfish banana plugs were easy to assemble although when I twist locked them down, the body and head of the plugs did not meet/touch all the way. The connection was solid so I did not worry about that. Used 12 gauge wire so it should have been no problem. I took them apart several times to make sure nothing was assembled wrong, still fit the same with a slight gap. Not to worry, it is definitely a solid fit in the speakers and a very nice looking final assembly.

Nicely built and connect well. I do not like the collars necessary to secure the wires, however. This may decrease the lifespan if swapping wires frequently. They do hold the wires well. I gave each one a good tug after installing them and they didn’t budge. These seem to be hard to find locally at a decent price, so I was happy to find them in the store. There is no need to buy anything more than these to connect speakers to an amp!!

High quality connection for premium sound. Easy to connect but direction are a little lacking. Realized the proper way to wire them after the first few cables. Better than pinching speaker wires.

The design of these plugs are nice and the concept of how the wire should attach is nice, but in practice you really have to use thick speaker wire or it is too easy to pull the wire out of the plugs. The design is that there is a spike inside and the wire is supposed to spread around the spike. The included plastic collars are supposed to clamp down on the wire's sheath to hold the wire in place. Lower gauge wire won't work for that, so what you can do instead is strip almost an inch worth of wire and fold the stripped portion of the wire back over itself and insert that into the plug. That should hold the thinner wire in place. If Best Buy had a set of plugs available like the older styles where you use screws to hold the wire in the plug, then I would have preferred that.

Fairly pleased with ease of use on this product, although installation guidelines aren't completely clear. I might have used on a little too thick of wire (10 gauge) for my F LR. Didn't seem to get a very secure connection but it hasn't come apart yet (2 months). On my smaller speakers that have 16 gauge, seems to be holding up well. As for installation, I stripped wire about 1/4 inch and tried to "mash" up in chamber of connector. I think you could potentially leave cable sheathing on and there is a sharp terminal inside connector that would slide right into wire and make connection. Associate at best buy said he strips wire and it just makes me think there might be frayed ends with no connections / potential arching situation inside connector chamber. Otherwise, so far so good and much easier to plug into speaker than twisting directly onto wire.

I expected to have to strip and wind the ends of my audio cable like other connections. These, however, have a needle that inserts directly into the unstripped end of your speaker cable. Easy instillation once I realized that and they work great transforming previously semi-permanent exposed cable to essentially hot-swappable plug-in audio cable. Great sounds quality.

I've never used banana plugs before but I have to say it sure made the installation of my Yamaha AV Receiver much easier. Trying to installed stripped speaker wires in a tight place is no fun. After cutting the wires to length and installing the banana plugs installation was a breeze. The installation looks cleaner, sounds great and was sooo easy. I'll never run speaker wires without them again

This is the kind of thing I'd normally get online since it would be so much cheaper, but I had a new speaker set, Dolby Atmos 5.1.2, and found that I needed four more banana clips NOW, not after waiting a few days for shipment.
They had a cheaper pair than this that I originally was going to get when I checked stock online and went to the store, but once I got there, they were horribly cheap clips. So I snagged these instead.
They were easy to use, didn't take long to get each on the end of a speaker cable, and they snapped into place in the receiver just fine.
These are actually better than the other ones I had, but they're also a lot more expensive than they were. But when you have to have something the same day, and can't wait for something to ship from an online purchase, these are the best ones I found at the local store.

These gold plated banana plugs let me stack a second set of speaker wires on one zone on the back of my amp to power another pair of speakers. They fit the amp very tightly, so they shouldn't come loose until I want them to. I did have to clamp the wires in differently from the instructions because the wires were relatively thin.

While not the easiest in the world to attach, they work great. They fit snugly into the speakers, provide a reliable connection, and won’t slip out. Definitely spend the extra money to get these versus the cheap ones!

For years I was twisting the speaker wire ends and hoping they had made enough contact to the poles. These make it so much easier AND give you higher fidelity connection. Also they're so easy to remove and reconnect when you need to move anything.

Easy to use. The inside plastic ring could have been a little more snug on 14 gauge. Great. Plugs in and no trying to thread the wire. Worth the guy

I needed banana plugs to hook up remote speakers in my pre-wired house. I had not used this type of plug before. I was going to buy a cheaper plug, but the associate in the store told me that these were easier to use and would hold better. Once I got home I realized he was right.
The instructions were pretty clear. There is a pin inside the plug that you press into the speaker wire to make the connection. There is a plastic collet that holds the wire tight when you screw the plug back together. I found it worked better with heavier wire. I had some slim speaker wire, but I was never confident that I was making a clean connection. Everything worked the first time, even though I hadn’t used these before. It was worth spending the extra couple of bucks for these.

Easy to use, just as good or better than the quality of the ones at Radio Shack and no more expensive. Once you use these on our speakers, you will never want to spend the time to wrap your speaker wire around the little posts on the back of your stereo ever again! Just attach them to t your speaker wires once, plug in and you are good to go!

I am not going to compare this to any other product as it is the only one I've tried as far as getting my own speaker wire and plugs. I understood the simple instructions instantly and they worked on the first try, making a much more secure connection. I am convinced they caused an immediate boost in audio clarity compared to my shoddy attempt at stuffing the wires thru the hole drilled in the post and mashing them in with the screw-downs.
I ended up buying a second pack days later since I didn't connect the idea that there are two terminals on each end of the wire that need to be connected. I bought 14 AWG wire to go with this and that gives a solid amount of wire for these to bite down on. Thumbs up.
