These are neat! Taking a little time to put in an 'old-work' box with speaker wire, cable, and internet connections (box, receptacles, covers from my local home supply warehouse) made for a wonderfully clean and professional looking installation.

Cheaper and to me they are better then the Monster Cable. These come with compression fittings to make sure the speaker wire stays put. These guys gives the back of the receiver a clean professional look rather than that rats nest look. I have a Yamaha RX-V1065 Receiver matched with Martin Logan speakers and I use them on both ends of the speaker wire and I would swear that everything sounded better when I was done.

Would buy again and recommend to my friends. I' plan on changing all my connectors to this type plug.

I actually didn't know anything about banana plugs until I decided I wanted a simpler, cleaner way of attaching speaker wire to the AV reciever. It was pretty easy to attach and works well.

The connection does not need you to strip the wire. Wire fastens securely to the connector.

As a former Best Buy employee and now independent home theater installer, I used to love the Rocketfish Banana plugs. They would actually allow up to 10 Gauge wire. The wire would fold over some teeth and be compressed into the inside of the plug. The design has CHANGED!! Even though the outside is the same, the inside is not. Now there is a pin in the middle of the inside that the wire fits over. A slide-on cheapo plastic fitting holds the wire loosely and seems like it would break with just a few uses. I am extremely disappointed with this new design and will be promptly returning the plugs. If you need banana plugs from Best Buy, then skip the Rocketfish and head for the lower cost Dynex plugs.

Good product but severely overpriced. If I hadn't been in a hurry I would have looked for other options on Amazon or Sewell.

These were incredibly easy to install. No wire stripping required. They also stay put on the wire.

These don’t work with speaker wire that has a thin covering. I was trying to use for 16 gauge wire that I used to wire my whole home audio. Too thin. The wire slips right out of the plug.

Like at least one other reviewer, I also bought this without doing any research, but I am satisfied with the results. It didn't take me long how to figure out how these works, but I did have to re-do 2 or 3 connections as the plugs came off when I gently pulled on them. All in all my experience is positive, but I can't say I would recommend these to a friend or family as they do take quite a bit of effort and force in order to be confident that the wire is in fact secured properly. Like my summary says, I was able to get them to work and they now work fine for me. Also, for the price, I think a better design that is easier to properly secure/tighten is in order. I can't personally speak to lower cost alternatives, so don't know how these compare. If purchasing I think if you really push the tip of the connector into the end of the wire as hard as possible and tighten, you shouldn't have any problems.

I was not able to use these with my system but they were a good quality product.

Nice gold tips and holds well.... Just that its 3 pieces which makes fumbling with it a little difficult. It works fine and holds well, but just a little ring you have to put around the wire before twisting it. Just not a two piece like Monster, but it is cheaper.

Makes connections to recievers and speakers easy. Just plug them in and your ready to go.

I read the other 12 reviews first and agree with many of the one star comments. I will give it 3 stars because it appears tight. But I do not believe this banana plug is the best way to connect your speakers. I did not strip the wire (12awg) but instead just pushed the wire on to the center of the pin. The collar fit tightly around the wire and appeared secure. The key word is "appeared" and I am not sure. I purchased another brand and found the set screw too small for the wire. If you can connect your equipment without using banana plugs then do so or find a review where the words "tight" and/or "secure" are used.

Makes connecting speakers to a receiver simple and safe.

This product was perfect for connecting to my speaker wire. Before I purchase these I had the wire stripped and around the screws as usual . I was unable to get any sound. I was about to take the receiver back to Best buy when I remembered a sales associate mentioned this product . It worked perfect even my son cound install.
