Do not buy this dock. The power adapter with the dock only supplies 30w(15v @ 2A) max. The switch needs a power supply that provides 39w(15v @ 2.6A) to work properly when docked. RocketFish(aka. BestBuy) is aware of this a they sell an independent USB-C power supply for the Switch that provides 39w. The only way this dock will work is if you remove the battery from your switch(!!!!!!THIS IS NOT RECOMENDED!!!!!!) so its not applying power to the circuit for the battery as well. You can't even buy the power supply that provides the correct amount of power and use it with the dock because they used a barrel connector on the dock instead of USB-C. Those who claim to have it working either have removed their battery or have a battery that's dead due to using third party docks like this that are not providing the correct power profile needed by the switch. This dock will charge the switch if that's all you need it to do as the provide supply meets the needed power to charge of 7.5w(5v @ 1.5A).

DO NOT BUY this. This dock is poorly designed. The connection that connects to charge port was not properly sized and pushed charge port up into switch. This caused damage to my motherboard which is going to cost me $250 or so for new board and installation.

Our first one out of the box did not work. Returned and got a new one, that one works.

2 months and 2 days. After that, the HDMI output gave out, and it no longer outputs anything through the display. The original dock works connected all to the same cabling. Disappointed.

Great for on the go. We use this for our car tv so the kids can all enjoy while on the road.

Furious. Bought 2 to replace my original switch dock when it stopped outputting video to the TV. Turns out it only has 1 USB port making my 2 wired controllers useless. Nice work RocketPissshhh...

My son bought me my Nintendo switch a few months before he passed away so I valued it greatly. I bought the dock as a bedroom dock for when I wanted to play in my room. Within two days the dock had bricked my switch and now it's unrepairable and I'm sure best buy doesn't care at all so long as they make money now I'm not only out an OLED switch but I've lost something that was priceless to me. So best buy how are you going to fix this for me a new switch to replace it ( I seriously doubt that will ever happen)

Hard to say if this is a bad product or if a lot of us just got duds, but I definitely will not be exchanging this after my experience. I put the switch in this dock and it appeared to be working but no visible output from two (checked and tested) different HDMI cables. I would say this worked about 1 out of 10 times and the connection was not stable. It was a really annoying process trying to figure out what the issue was and it seems to be the HDMI port. I was afraid of screwing up my Switch as it seems to have for others so after about 15 minutes messing around with this, I decided to just return it. I also read in other reviews that it doesn't supply the correct power to the switch which can mess up the internal battery - big red flag for me. As most others who've had a similar experience to me, I will end up just buying an OEM Nintendo Switch dock, as expensive as it is...

My son says the system already comes with a tv dock. So not sure if the purpose of this.

Didn't transfer to the TV at all. Came on for a second then did nothing. Tried several different HDMI cables, same thing. Returned it within 30 minutes of receiving it.

I can't get the dock to sync to my TV. Nothing appears even after waiting a couple of seconds. It will charge it. It will make a nice little stand so I can watch it on the Switch screen. But it won't work as a dock to my TV.

Good alternative if its on sale. All ports work just fine. It simply works!

I bought this with the intent of using it as a second dock so we could move our Switch between different rooms in our house. When it works, it’s as good as the official Switch dock. However, about 25-50% of the times you set the Switch on it, it doesn’t connect to the TV. For a while, pulling the power cord and resetting the dock did the trick. After about three months, it stopped working entirely. It still lights up and the Switch sees the power source, but it won’t display on the TV. Verified the HDMI cable and the TV input with other connections and confirmed it’s the dock that’s the problem. Disappointing, considering I opted for this over cheaper alternatives on Amazon for this exact reason.

I knew not to go with a third party dock. I stayed away for many years, but for some awful reason I thought this one is from BB and it had a ton of great reviews. Bricked my Switch immediately–I mean as soon as I connected it for the first time. No one's fault but mine. I'm happy for anyone that this dock has worked for. For those on the fence, I'd say skip it just to be on the safe side. Not worth it.

Works as intended. There is a low humming noise when using it.

Used for a week os until the wall charger started making a strang high pitched noise. I am returning this because I am afrsid it will damage my Switch.

If you use a thin, hard protective case for your switch, this product will not work for you. The case I am using does work with the original Nintendo dock, but the docking channel on this product is too narrow and prevents the switch from making contact with the USB-C connector. Will be returning.

This item has a couple major issues. When docking on docking it sends my tv into a constant video blip. I’m watching something on another input and when it gets pulled out of the dock it causes this. Tv needs to be unplugged and plugged back in to fix it. The second issue is when the switch is docked overnight it gets stuck in power off. I don’t turn it off, I put it to sleep and in the morning it has the issue. It takes about 2 mins of trying to power the unit on. Pretty scary thinking my OLED might be broken when this happens. It does not do this with the Dock the switch came with. My final complaint is Best Buy’s small return window. I remembered after trying to return this why I don’t shop there anymore.

I started to glitch after a while and they said that it would make my switch mess up if I continued to use it so I have to buy a Nintendo switch dock, so it won’t mess up
