This thing worked great when i just got it. Kids were happy to get their Switch back on the tv after the original Nintendo dock stopped working. Two weeks later and we started to have issues. It started to disconnect from the tv. I would take the Switch off and put it on again and that would help. Last night though, it started flickering on and off the tv, and when it did this the game would freeze for a few seconds. This is eternity when in the middle of a Fortnite match! This morning, in the middle of a game, it decides to go caput. Cant get it working at all. Time to return this useless docking station and actually get the Nintendo docking station. The frustration it has caused just so i could save a few bucks just was not worth it.

It worked great for 2 weeks, then the charger started making a rhythmic noise. As a person who works with electronics, the charger is poorly put together. Had to return this and very disappointed.

It stopped communicating with the hdmi cable a month after we bought it and refused to work on the television. We troubleshot everything even purchased new cables and it finally came down to the docking station itself.

I purchased this item hoping to find an inexpensive, functional alternative to the official docking station offered by Nintendo and was sorely disappointed by what I received. I tested this device on two separate systems in two separate households and found that it would operate for about a minute or so before shutting itself and the associated Nintendo Switch console device off. It did not "brick" the Switch, but the docking station is not functional for play. I am uncertain if this is due to recent firmware updates from Nintendo prohibiting use of third-party products for their consoles or from faults within the product itself. I have purchased Rocketfish products in the past to great satisfaction, so I'm really saddened that the ball has been dropped on this. Please avoid at all costs.

Disappointing that the switch will not fit with a dockable case attached. The switch fits with case in the dock that came with the switch. Purchased this as a dock to travel with but defeats the purpose of traveling when I have to remove the dock able case to use it every time.

After docking with the Nintendo an audible electrical hum and clicking is heard coming out of the dock. I immediately returned it. Don't trust it. The Nintendo brand is perfectly silent when the Switch is docked.

Under NO circumstances should you purchase this off-brand dock. After plugging it in it SHOCKED me when I was removing the Switch from the dock. Several times after a session it appeared to "brick" the Switch - i.e., the system shut down and would not respond to controller input. Thankfully I was able to perform a hard reset each time and rescue the system. Last month, after approximately 9 months of intermittent use, the dock finally died all together. Now when it's plugged it it just makes an odd noise. This thing is probably a fire hazard. It might physically injure you via shocking and is not safe for use in the home, period. I wish I had spent more money on a real dock.

Didn’t work, HDMI port is defective. Tested it on 2 different TVs. Best Buy only has a 14 day returnable window which is terrible. The power adapter works, tested.

Was a decent replacement for a switch dock and got the job done. It dock started making some noises (electrical noise) over the last month and stopped working all together. The switch was not harmed at least. Had it for about 2 months.

It is trash. I ordered this in Jan of '24 and it stopped connecting to my tv less than two months later. Troubleshot a ton and no luck. I contacted Rocketfish/Best Buy and was told there was no warranty. I was outside of the 30 day return window. DO NOT BUY THIS!

PLEASE!!! Do not buy this product. This product bricked my Switch on first use. I literally removed the Switch from the OEM dock. The Switch came on when I removed it as expected. I plugged the Switch into this dock immediately after and the Switch turned off and will no longer turn on. Best Buy should not be selling this product! It is defective and may brick your switch. It has happened to others so this is not an isolated incident. This product should be pulled from all shelves!

Don't waste your money. Bought for Son's Nintendo Switch but it wouldn't connect on añy TV. Followed all online videos and instructions & found out this is a common problem.

Well... It didn't brick my Switch. It did charge the Switch, and was really good at making some high pitched noise. And that's it. No output to monitor.

Did not work for my nintendo switch took back and got replacement. Same problem didn't work. Finally just bought the nintendo version works perfectly

But if a let down. Only 1 USB and its 2.0. Also fairly bulky and requires and alternative power cord. Too pricey for what you get.

Bought it to use as an extra docking station so that I could easily game on different TV's. Have been resetting the dock since I bought it. Now, it doesn't even reset after hours of troubleshooting. The console itself won't power up or charge on the Rocketfish dock even when removed from the dock. It's one thing for the Rocketfish dock not to work - quite another when it renders the original dock and the original console inoperable. It makes it where the console won't even power up.

Plugged in and did not work on the tv which is the reason i bought it .

This dock is preventing my switch from powering on. When the Switch is on sleep and you place it on the docket, after a short period of time the Switch won't turn on. It also won't turn on after pressing the on button and holding it for a few seconds. I had to hold the power button for literally 15 seconds before it finally powered on. This has happened twice within a few days of getting this dock and doesn't happen with my OEM dock. At first I thought it was completely bricked, but t hen discovered it would power on after holding the button for an extremely long amount of time.

For whatever reason this didn't work with my Switch. It was an open box product.

Depending on how hard the gpu is working the unit makes a high pitched coil whine. Doesnt make noise when the dock isnt in use.
