I have owned this vacuum for about 2 months and used several times. It outperforms the central vacuum system we have by a long shot. After vacuuming with the central vacuum, I vacuumed again with this vacuum. It picked up so much dust and pet hair that was leftover after the first pass. I also like the swivel, light, and easy access canister. It is louder than I would like, but not too unbearable. I can live with the noise in exchange for the amount of dirt it picks up. Love all the extra tools to use for various vacuuming needs.

My first Dyson was the bomb. I loved it and it lasted years. My second a Dyson only lasted 2 years before the hose broke, due to a poor design. Not sure why, but I bought another Dyson. It was the worst design ever. My dog has longer hair ( a golden retriever). The canister would be full of hair that would not come out when you open the trap. I had to stick my hand into the canister to pull the hair an dirt out. The hard floor attachment was a bad design. My daughter had a Shark and she said she really liked it. So after less than a year with the last Dyson, I ordered the Shark. I have been using it for a few months now and it is so much easier to use. I love this vacumn and will never go back to Dyson. The shark was less than half the cost, too. My Dyson lives in the garage to clean carpet in car.

Powerful vacuums great suction. Light weight and easy to maneuver. Easy to clean and the attachments are easy to use. What more would you want?

This vacuum has plenty of suction power and is easy to operate. I did a lot of research prior to buying and I'm happy with my decision.

Powerful suction, pretty easy to use too. Seemed to pick up a lot of dirt my old vacuum missed. Hope it lasts well, I like it a lot.

Thought with my older vacuum was doing a pretty good job, one time usage of this showed me it was missing so much. Easy to use and very versatile.

Love the vacuum. Used my old vacuum just before I put this together and then went over my floors again. Picked up what the other one missed. The bare floor tool really gets the dirt up. Easy to pull around and it gets under most of my furniture

I got this vacuum in lieu of the Dyson I was looking at for 3 reasons. 1. When compared side to side in the store, the cost was quite a bit less than the Dyson for what you get with the Shark. 2. I really like the motorized hand held brush head. 3. I really like being able to get between table legs and under low beds with this vacuum which is something the Dyson couldn't do easily. Once at home, I put this vacuum to the test. I compared it to my old vacuum which is the Eureka Boss Smart Vac. Right off the bat it's much quieter than the Eureka. I then gave the living room a good vacuuming with the Eureka. Once finished, I re-vacuumed the same area with the new Shark. Man was I surprised. The Shark picked up so much stuff I was shocked. I thought I kept a clean living area, but boy was I wrong. I went through and did the whole house at this point and this vacuum rocked. There are only a three things I thought could have been engineered a little better. The first is the attachment tote. There's no real easy way to store it with the vacuum so it' stays in the closet. The second is the little clip that holds the middle of the hose to the handle when it's in the upright position. It could hold the hose a little more securely, but it isn't a huge negative. The third is the power head. It isn't as wide as most vacuum heads out there and just seems a little small. This also isn't a true negative because it works great and gets into places that a regular sized vacuum can't go. All in all, I'm very glad i bought this vacuum. It works well, picks up stuff you had no idea was hiding in the carpet. Plus it's easy to empty and pretty quiet.

I purchased this vacuum because my old Hoover upright wasn't picking up all the dog hair from my large dog. This vacuum works great and is reasonably quiet compared to my old one. I decided to compare the two vacuums and cleaned my living room with the old Hoover and then went back over it with the Shark. To my surprise the Shark needed to be emptied twice, there was that much hair and pet dander being left behind. I've been using the Shark now for five months with no issues so I would recommend this vacuum to people with pets.

Great vacuum - way better than the Dyson we have - good deal as well "deal of the day" purchase. Easy to navigate with as well.

I have owned many vacuums over the years. This is by far the best one I've ever used. I have always had a dust problem too, until now. The advantage this unit has over the others is that it truly seals in whatever it picks up. I never realized how much dust my other vacuums were just throwing back out into the room. It does well on all the surfaces. The motorized mini head is way more effective than the air driven ones. The three conversions make it very flexible and all you'll ever need. I'm breathing easier. Very Happy!

Powerful vacuum, works really well, love the attachements. Unit's weight is distributed differently then other vacuums. Weight is mostly toward the top. It takes some getting used to to maneuver but nothing bad, just different.

We previously owned a Dyson. Did not want to spend the $$. This works great

As a total clean freak that I am ,I knew I had to find a good vacuum. I was tired of purchasing $80- $100 dollar vacums that never perform good and eventually broke down. But this shark is more than amazing!!!! You can tell right away on its high end performance when you vaccum, it is lightweight, and sturdy. It is very flexible so it fits in places my previous vacuum couldn't reach. Also, this vacuum can be used in many other ways. You can take it apart and vaccum carry in your hand etc. And other great features.

Easy setup, easy operation and great cleaning ability. Only complaint I have is that it's heavy and tiring to push around.

Judging by how much more this vacuum pulls out of the same carpet, this is getting about twice as much out as my old Dyson. I love the flexibility of the 3 modes (upright, powered head canister, lift away). All of the lights are also great. My only issues are the ridiculous number of models they have (which is the best for your use?) and why do you have to buy directly from them (Shark) to get a lifetime warranty?

I love my this Shark. It has great suction and it is really easy to use. I now realize how much dog hair my other vacuum missed.

We searched far and wide for a vacuum that would work well with our high-pile "Lifeproof" carpet from Home Depot. We tried two Hoovers before, but one's belt broke within 2 uses and the other seemed like it was burning up the cord with it wound up inside the vacuum. This Shark does the trick with the high pile mode and we didn't have to pay the premium for Dyson. Feels premium, solid and not too loud either!

This vacuum is fantastic. The attachments are wonderful, the suction is borderline ridiculous, and the turn radius is amazing. In fact, a friend just came to visit over the holidays and her dog knocked my Christmas tree over. While I was vacuuming the glass, she stopped me and said, "That thing turns so well! Is that easy? Can I try it? Oh my god, this makes mine look like such a wimp and I just bought it!" I can not suggest this vacuum enough - especially if you have pets.

I like the vacuum but it's VERY HEAVY, I can only finish one room and my hand gets very tired.(For the record, I am athletic and work out daily) and this vacuum is heavy on my hand. Otherwise it does good job
