Earns the name Shark!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my Shark!!!!! Absolutely fun to use and I look forward to vacuuming. I do not have carpeting in my home (all hardwood floors) but I tried it in the store and...WOW! The sucking power of this unit PULLS you (like a shark on a fishing line) and eats up all the debris in the carpet. I tried a Hoover and a Dyson first but this one was worth every penny! It's heavier than I expected but I still think it's perfect and I have no buyers remorse. It has great lights on it that helps to show you just how dusty your floor is even when it doesn't appear to be. Even the hose has lights when you detach it from the unit. It comes with all the attachments, and hardwood floor attachment (with lights as well) that has a removable pad on it that can be put in the washing machine, a caddy to make it a canister vacuum also a smaller attachment that removes animal hair super good. Shark was packed great and is easy to empty. It's true the thing falls over when you remove it from the stand but I still don't care - it's freaking awesome. I named him Jaws. And yes, I'd buy him again!!!!!

Easy to use and lightweight enough for my wife
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We found the Shark Rotator Powered Lift-away to be a pleasure to use and enjoy the optional tools which accompanied the vacuum. My wife is the primary user but I will volunteer to help with the vacuuming whenever I'm home. This unit replaced a three year old Dyson which was cumbersome as we later found out.

Do yourself a favor & buy this for yourself!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I have to tell you that I'm a guy and and I'm a mechanic. This is my first review that I ever wrote. I was in need of a new vacuum, my old vac was a dirt devil vision. I have a dog that sheds terribly and also two cats. I normally vac once a week, I should vac probably twice week but come on I'm a guy. Anyways, I vacuumed REALLY good with the old vac first then I busted out the Shark, I did half the room and I couldn't believe how much pet hair and dirt I already got! The canister was full, I had to empty it! I did the other half and I emptied the canister again, it was also full! I emptied both times on a white trash bag in the garage. Hopefully I can add pics to this review because I took pics of the huge pile I pulled out of my carpet. It's pretty gross actually. When your using the vac you definitely can feel and hear the brush agitating the carpet. It has a ton of suction. The on/off switch is real nice being on the handle. The fact that you can lift the canister off and still use the vac to get under the coffee table is awesome. Let me tell this one more thing, I have carpet in the living room and the bedrooms, but I have some hardwood floors in a couple other rooms. This is gonna sound kinda weird maybe, but I noticed if you turn off the lights and you use the led lights on the sweeper, it will Mega illuminate the dirt, or in my case the dog hair that's on your hard wood floors. I couldn't believe all the dog hair I saw. Well anyway this thing sucked it all right up no problem. I've probably read 150 reviews and watched countless videos on YouTube, trying to decide between this Shark or the Dyson multi surface. I am so glad I bought this instead. I'm telling you this thing is worth every penny. I paid 299.00/ you get what you pay for. Also I got to tell ya, in the beginning I was leaning towards that Dyson, but when I went to Best Buy and pulled it down from the shelf to check it out, I was not impressed, it seemed very cheaply built and expected a lot better quality for the money they're asking for those. This Shark is a winner for me. (Winning!!) Lol.

The right tools
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After shopping quite extensively online over a variety of stores I discovered it was very hard to compare prices and models from store to store. Many stores carry different model numbers that at very similar but yet different in some way that may end up being very important. In fact, I went into Best Buy prepared totally to buy a different model than the one I ultimately purchased. Upon arriving at the store, I reviewed the model I was ready to buy and found that there were features I needed that were not included in my original model. Specifically, I was looking for a powered upholstery tool. I with help from the sales associate, discovered that there were 3 different types of this tool. 1) unpowered- just suction 2) vacuum powered- only as strong as the vacuum that powers the brush 3) motorized- motor driven power brush I wanted the motorized tool as pet owner would obviously benefit from. This left me with much fewer choices which led me to purchase the NV755. I was very happy that I was able to ascertain this prior to buying the wrong unit. Then on top of that, I noticed that this vacuum was on sale $30 cheaper the next week. Best Buy made good on that sale price! Overall, I'm very happy with this Shark Vacuum. This model is also the XL size container.

Could not be more impressed & happy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many of you, I read a lot of reviews from users Dyson, is over priced, big & bulky. I tried the Hoover before this, as it had good ratings, and was a decent vacuum, but not strong enough for what I wanted, nor did it have all the features I wanted. I could not find this Shark as it was sold out everywhere. So, purchased online through Best Buy, 2 days later I received it, Easiest vacuum to put together I have ever owned. No screwdriver for the handle, just all snapped together firmly and tight. Nice. I said the Dyson was big and Bulky, the canister for this is a bit square, but not a biggie. Will not go on and on, but I am extremely impressed in every way. It destroys the Kirby it is replacing, you can truly tell the difference in how much more power this Shark has but how much more it fluffs the carpet from the power. Was amazed at just how much it picked up, that the Kirby could not. Lightweight, great features, easy to use, not all that loud. For the difference in money compared to a Dyson you'd be silly to spend the extra for just a name or colors. This is one kick butt product.

Better than Dyson
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a Dyson owner for the past 14 years, several models. I was convinced they were the best vacuum, not any more. This Shark is so much easier to clean with. The head pivots so you can go the the side without being in line with it. It goes so low you can get under end tables and such. I cleaned a section of carpet first with the Dyson, then with the Shark, and the Shark got out dirt that the Dyson left behind. It is really so much easier to use than the Dyson. There are only 2 cons to the Shark, in my opinion. First, the hose is short. You can overcome this by taking the canister off and carrying it to vacuum with the hose. It is light enough to make this not much of a problem. Second, it has a foam and pancake filter before the collection canister that gets dirty pretty quickly. Easy enough to clean but they are not very sturdy. Overall, It's a great vacuum that can stand up to heavy use with pets, kids, and all kinds of floors. If you are debating, just buy it. It does a great job.

Best vacuum for pet owners
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We live in the country and have 7 cats and a small dog that probably spend more time in our house than my family does, so there is an abundance of dust, fur and crud on our floors and furniture. I bought a Dyson Animal a few years ago because it was supposed to be the best vac for pet owners. Well, I hated it and was happy when it finally died. I did plenty of online research before going to my local Best Buy, and I ended up buying the Shark - Rotator Powered Lift-away Xl Capacity Hepa Bagless Upright Vacuum. This vacuum totally exceeded my expectations! First, I could not believe the amount of dirt it pulled out of the carpet the the Dyson left behind. Seriously, the carpet FELT clean and fluffy to my bare feet! Second, the attachment for cleaning hard floors is amazing! It sucks up all of the dust and fur wads with ease! Third, the brush attachment gets ALL of the cat hair off of my furniture. I love the versatility of this vacuum, plus how easy it is to use and how easy it is to clean the collection bin and filters. This vacuum totally blows away the Dyson and is a much better value for the price! I actually enjoy cleaning house with my Shark!

Q: QuestionDies the shark work with hard wood floors
Asked by Pig.
- A:Answer I know you are asking about wood, but I use it on tile, and it is way better than the Hoover that I used to own. The beater bar is still when put into bare floor mode, and the suction is outstanding. It picks everything up. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Q: QuestionIs the lift away canister heavy to carry around?
Asked by nomuscles.
- A:Answer So I've used it as a lift away canister a few times. It really isn't that heavy, but if you think that you will be using it like that for a while you might as well place the unit on the canister accessory that comes with it that lets you roll it around. :)

Q: QuestionIs it easy to remove the beater brush in the head to clean tangled hair from? My old shark is a real hassle to remove for cleaning
Asked by BeaterBrush.
- A:Answer Hello BeaterBrush, To remove any hair, fibers, or debris that is wrapped around the brushroll, there is a groove that allows a pair of scissors to cut across to loosen debris, and a portion of the base is hinged for better access to the brushroll. Best Regards, Customer Service Team

Q: QuestionCompare Shark Rotator and Shark ProfessionalCan you break down and simplify the differences (and pros and cons) of the Shark Professional Lift Away, like you can buy at Wal-Mart and the Shark - Rotator Powered Lift-Away XL Capacity HEPA Bagless Upright??
Asked by RedHedCountryGirl.
- A:Answer My strategy is to get a middle-of-the-line product, not the top of the line. I found the Shark Rotator (emerald) perfect for my needs, a 3000+ square ft home with about 2000 square feet of hard floor and throw rugs, and about 1000 square feet of carpet. Most of the mid- and top-of-the-line vacuums, and even ones that cost $140, have HEPA filters and are bagless. The emerald model has a smaller form factor and smaller dust bin, but has plenty of capacity for my needs. It is very easy to use, converts quickly to a canister and back to an upright, and even comes with a second upright head and microfiber pad for hard floors. Bottom line: this Rotator is more than adequate, and you don't need the "seen on TV" Shark that comes with a "free" canister.

Q: QuestionDoes the NV755 come with a rolling canister caddy? Can you buy a rubber rake type attachment to fit the vac that would take up dog hair?
Asked by Doghair.
- A:Answer Yes it does come with the rolling caddy. It also comes with a bunch of attachments that work great for dog hair. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and it is hands-down the best vacuum ever!!!

Q: QuestionIs there a way to turn on/off the rotating brush? Sometimes when vacuuming small area rugs or bathroom rugs, I've noticed sometimes when you turn off the brushes it helps prevent the the carpeting from getting sucked up and stuck into the vacuum.
Asked by LCOR.
- A:Answer Yes there is a button on the handle that lets you easily switch between thick carpet, carpet/low pile, and hardwood floors. Selecting the hardwood floor turns the brush off.
