    We bought this a year ago, we have 4 dogs, 3 of them shed and this picks up the hair with ease. LOVE this vacuum.

    I got this to replace my aging Dyson DC12 Animal. Using it as a standup on carpet works great, brushes really get to work and overall I am impressed. The standup has a hard floor setting but if you have anyone in the house with long hair all that does is guarantee a clogged roller brush. The hard floor attachment is where my issue lies. It requires a consumable pad to be used, I would prefer a standard brush type floor attachment. So now I use the Dyson for hard floors and the Shark for carpets.

    This vacuum cleans well, but it is a hassle to reconfigure it when changing from carpets over to hard floors. If you don't mind a bit of trouble with reconfiguration, it will do a fine job vacuuming things up.
