Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I give up on reviews. Lots of good reviews for this washer but an epic fail to actually clean clothes. On every cycle (except Bedding cycle) the washer adds only enough water to wet the clothes with soapy water. There is no amount sloshing in the bottom needed for clothes tumble through. The result is damp to wet clothes going in circles. The only cycle that adds enough water is bedding where the clothes tumble in a shallow puddle as expected in a front load washer. To be fair, it could be a defect unit. The unit arrived dented on the side along with My Cycle and Delay End buttons on the control panel inoperative. We were able to enter the "calibration mode" by beating on the button but did not help. Returning for a different brand.

Quiet Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the advanced technology on this washer and the ability to set a delayed wash. Plenty of space for large loads and is quiet when on.

A-OK
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice dryer, hard to see dial since it had to be put on top of my washer. Price ok, but you can find it cheaper. Deliver service was terrible. Dryer doesn't dry clothes very well. My old one was a lot better, too bad it broke and was not energy efficient.

Great washer, funny smell
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this washer two weeks ago and we have washed many loads since (four households share this washer, so it gets lots of use). I like almost everything about the washer except that it has had a strong unpleasant odor. Trying to resolve the problem now.

Fantastic Product Abysmal Customer Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I sent the following email to BestBuy and never received a response. "When I ordered my Samsung washer and dryer on 15 July, 2015, I was informed at checkout that the products would arrive at my local Best Buy no later than 18 July. The order confirmation that I received via email shortly thereafter, however, indicated that the expected arrival date would be 15 August. This was inconsistent, but tolerable. I went to my local Best Buy 17 July to change delivery options, at which time I was informed by a very polite associate that the washer had been placed on back order and would arrive no later than 21 August. This was frustrating, but I tolerated it. As promised, my washer was delivered and installed 21 August. My dryer, however, was not. When I inquired about my dryer at my local Best Buy, I was told it had been placed on back order and would be delivered no later than 26 August. This is unacceptable, but I tolerated it. Today is 26 August and my dryer has not been delivered as promised. I called my local Best Buy and I was told that the delivery date changed to 02 September. I can no longer tolerate this gross negligence. I did not shell out twelve hundred dollars to be told multiple times that my promised delivery date has changed. I am asking Best Buy to make amends for this severe lack of customer satisfaction." I finally received the product and it is absolutely fantastic. BestBuy, however, clearly holds sales in higher regard than customer satisfaction. We will not be buying appliances from BB in the future.

Think Twice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung Front Loader worked fine--for the first 7 months then the control problems began. Started a load of clothes at 10:00 pm on a 1 hour and 30 minute cycle--woke up at 3:20 am to find the machine still running. Had to end the cycle manually. Has not worked since despite 2 visits from Samsung Factory Authorized service. They come in, do some diagnostics supposedly make the repair, run it thru a spin cycle and proclaim in repaired. An hour later it has the same problem. Call back for service and wait 3 or 4 days once again for them to come out. Don't bother calling the Samsung Help Desk. Those people seem to be trained only ask certain questions and follow a script. They don't listen, they just apologize for the inconvenience and start repeating the same questions. I am going to place an add and sell this thing if Samsung can get-it-together enough to fix it.

Not truly HE washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this washer for 4 months and have used it a lot. My washer before this one was a HE Maytag frontloader. When I first got this Samsung I put the same amount of laundry in it as I had done in my old washer. They came out smelling the same as they did when I put them in, which has never happened to me before. I then tried more detergent. That didn't work. I sat and watched it wash a load. The majority of the water went against the door and down the drain (along with my soap). I finally realized the solution when I was washing 4 of my son's work shirts. He is a size medium. The washer finally had the right amount of water in it to get the clothes clean. So now I have to wash 2-4 items at a time to get anything clean. I tried contacting Samsung to ask them to repoint the water jets so the water would go into the machine and not down the drain. They were no help at all. The bottom line is that unless you are a single person that only has tiny loads of laundry or you truly like to spend tons of time doing laundry, buy something else. I wish I had bought one of the top loaders with a deep clean cycle. Instead I guess I will try to have my old Maytag fixed and use it or continue spending 5x more time on laundry.

started leaking on third wash cycle !!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks Great; worked great first two cycles then water started to come out the bottom. I have been getting the run around from Best Buy and then Samsung for two weeks. Best Buy passes it off to Samsung for factory warranty. Samsung warranties handled out of CA ... they forwarded it to local repair guys. There is a 2-3 week wait on appointments. I guess they don't make money on warranty work. I have spent at least 3 hours on the phone trying to get this problem resolved. I am calling Best Buy now to see if I can return the washer ... if I can't I will never buy from Best Buy again and I will never buy a Samsung anything ever again. It has been a royal pain in the butt.

Leaked after only 11 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked good at first. Like that it has many washing options. After only 11 months it leaked a lot on the floor after every cycle. Luckily it was under warranty. Guy came and "fixed" it. After a few weeks it started leaking again. Now it's out of warranty. Bought the matching dryer and after only 15 months it has started with a horrific stealing noise. Having to call a repair guy tomorrow. Very disappointed in this set. Next time will go with a different brand.

ASK FOR THE SHIPPING BOLTS!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Important fact to know about front load washers is that you need shipping bolts in order to move them. I bought my washer at Best Buy and the technicians did not leave the bolts with me. After calling to get my bolts when recently moving I was told they were stapled to my receipt... Look up and see what one of the shipping bolts looks like. I had to go out an buy new bolts myself as customer service at Best Buy "had no way to help me" and they are FAR to huge to simply staple to a receipt. Be sure to ask for them or you run the risk of damage to your washer if you ever need to move it.

Poorly Engineered
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washer about 6 months ago. It was working fine for the first 4 months or so, and then it began to make squeaking sounds when reving up for the spin cycle. I called Samsung and they sent a technician to my house. He said he made some adjustments and it was fixed. I put a load in immediately after he left and during the spin cycle not only did it still squeak, but now the machine was bouncing around like crazy. On top of this, its a pain getting through to Samsung support. They have a terrible automated system, their wait times are long, and then the person who takes the call cant help and transfers me back to the automated system. Go ahead, try to get in touch with them. You'll see what I'm talking about. I do not recommend Samsung for washing machines. Buy another brand.
