    Much Better Than I Expected

After talking with a washing machine repair man, I did not have high hopes for ANY water efficient washing machine, but my old one was dying quickly, so I figured a new one would be at least as good as my old, and hopefully, a bit better. While it still amazes me how little water is being used to wash my clothes, I have to admit, this machine does a really great job. I have washed my white, Ikea furniture slipcovers and my lightweight king-size down comforter in this machine and it did a great job. It's a good cleaning machine. It cannot work miracles. Some of the paw prints were still on the slipcovers, although faint, as was the case with the comforter. But, considering that my old machine used to jam up and stop with either of those items, it's a great thing to have a washer here at home that will handle big, heavy loads. I used to have to take those items to the laundromat. I used to use my old machine on one setting. Everything was washed in Normal. And I figured this one would be used the same way. However, once I spun the knob to the different cycles, and could see that amount of time change, the temperature change and even the speed of the spin cycle change, it became clear that these different modes made sense, and were super easy to use. All of this cleaning and efficiency comes at a price though. Time. Using the "Heavy Duty" or "Bedding" settings will automatically pop the time up to an hour and a half, and "Normal" will consume close to an hour. It should be noted though, with the rate at which this machine spins the clothes, the drying time is sometimes cut in half of normal. (I bought the matching dryer, which is great too). I am really quite tickled, and happy, with this washer and its partner dryer. The only thing I wish is that the coordinating pedestals were not so ridiculously expensive. Being 6'3" I have to get on my knees to peel the spun clothes off the washing machine drum, so it would be nice to have them sit that extra 14" higher up. But when I think about paying as much as I did for each one of these machines, for two boxes with drawers, it's very hard to justify such and outrageous expense. Regardless, I am quite happy with this washing machine. For the way I use it, I would have a hard time justifying a more expensive one.

    Not bad

I’ve had this machine for about a month and so far so good. I bought the matching dryer to stack the unit since my laundry space is limited. The delivery and installation went very well. It runs smoothly and cleans our clothes so much better than our previous GE stackable which died out on us. The only downside is that the machine can get loud during the spin cycle but I’ve read from different reviews the shipping bolts have to be removed which I should have thought before installation. Overall, great machine with a lot of features.

Good deal for a high efficiency washing machine

I was a little worried when I bought this washing machine, to be honest. At only 4.2 cu ft, I wasn't sure if it was going to be big enough to wash a king size comforter but in fact it is just big enough. I've had these a couple of weeks now and ended up getting the pedestals recently which help to bring them up higher. This machine is so much quieter than my old top loader too. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and Best Buy delivered and hauled away my old one at no extra charge.
